Implementations Specialist

We are looking for an experienced and engaging Implementation Specialist to join the Instem Clinical Business Unit, which provides leading eSource, proactive EDC systems for early Phase clinical trials.

Ideally you will possess a mixture of project management and excellent client facing skills so you will have the ability to leverage considerable knowledge and experience in business processes and software project delivery to enable implementation success. 

Ideally the successful candidate will have experience working within a phase I clinical research environment. Previous EDC knowledge (implemented or worked with a system such as ALPHADAS) will be an advantage.


  •       5 years+ practical, hands on Phase 1 clinical experience
  •       In depth knowledge of clinical research processes and procedures, such that client workflows can be identified, understood, documented, and challenged to ensure an efficient and optimized implementation
  •       Ability to identify potential areas for process revision/enhancement to deliver immediate value and cost benefits to the client
  •       Practical experience in implementation of software/systems which support a Phase I clinical research environment
  •       Expert knowledge of GCP and previous certification in GCP
  •       Solid working knowledge of relative regulatory requirements & guidelines (Clinical Trials Directive, CFR Title 21, etc.)
  •       Experience in management and oversight of regulated systems validation
  •       Ability to perform basic troubleshooting of issues identified in client environments (during implementation and pre-Go-Live), providing solutions where possible
  •       Throughout the implementation able to demonstrate software functionality, incorporating an understanding of both client specific processes and more typical clinic workflows both within and outside the system
  •       Demonstrated previous expertise in project management with strong client management skills including risk identification, mitigation and timely escalation



  •       Demonstrated knowledge of relevant technologies including Microsoft Windows Server/Workstation platforms, cloud technologies (e.g. Azure), MS SQL, IIS, barcoding technologies and hardware, etc.
  •       Previous experience in retirement of legacy systems and associated upgrade/migration activities
