Junior Product Manager

The Jr. Product Manager will be responsible for contributing to the success of the products in meeting their commercial goals, and for overseeing / orchestrating the successful rollout of products to their customers. The Jr. Product Manager will assist the product manager initially, with a view to grow and eventually take on the full responsibility for a product as a Product Manager

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record working with Medical Devices within a Regulatory Affairs environment. We are looking for someone with ambition and drive, a problem-solver and a clear and concise communicator who can deliver high quality results.

As the Junior Product manager at Samarind you can expect to be:

• Collaborating with product managers in detailing release plans by,
- Assessing changes in regulatory requirements and specifications of relevant standards
- Contributing to the development of a release plan that ensures product conformance with planned and ah-hoc changes in regulatory requirements and relevant standards
- Detailing requirements to drive the Software Product Development lifecycle


• Supporting product development by,
- Reviewing technical documents to ensure that they conform to the specifications detailed in relevant standards
- Where needed, updating and creating product configuration files that specify data models based on relevant standards
- Providing the development team with the first line of support to ensure accurate interpretation of the relevant standards and acceptable functional solutions to product faults
- Participating in acceptance testing for each release

Collaborating with operations teams for successful product rollout to customers through,
- Preparing the training, help desk, sales and validation teams to support the new release
- Ensuring timely and accurate updates by operations teams to supporting documents like validation scripts and training collateral
- Ensuring the maintenance of a customer release registry detailing versions, sites, number of users, and operational status and ensuring timely upgrades for customer sites is planned by operations
- Engaging with customers to ease product adoption and optimize product utilization

We are looking for someone with these skills, knowledge and experience:

• Good reading comprehension and oral skills
• Desire to work in new areas with attention to detail and an ability to simplify 
• Interest in product planning and management 
• Ability to influence a range of people throughout the business and beyond to assure the achievement of their product goals 
• Knowledge of Software Product Development lifecycle
• Ability to present to large and small audiences
• Worked in a software product business and has participated in the delivery or development of at least one product
• Ability to present to large and small audiences 
• Has worked with customers and been involved in on-site meetings and presentations
Knowledge of regulatory requirements/ standards in Life Sciences
