Ideally based at our Deeside office however remote workers will be considered and will be part of a dynamic and growing team.


We are looking for a RIM Software Product manager or Regulatory Affairs professional who can combine a deep understanding of Regulatory Affairs with the commercial ability to identify and sponsor the development of valuable service and software opportunities. You will work with internal and external business stakeholders to identify new solution opportunities, gather requirements and work with the service and development teams to realise our commercial goals.


As the RIM Software Product manager at Samarind you can expect to:


  • To identify, justify and sponsor the development of new products and services and the extension of existing ones to meet commercial goals.
  • To approve design decisions relating to the product within the constraints of agreed project budgets.
  • To identify and approve the requirements for product developments and changes in conjunction with customers and other market sources.
  • To approve a release of their products as being fit for purpose in the context of the market, the business and plans for their product.
  • To attend relevant industry, customer and sales prospect meetings and events within cost and time budget constraints.
  • To take responsibility for managing their time in order to achieve their own and the wider business’ goals.
  • The Product Manager is the bridge between the customer and the organisation and ensures that the resources allocated by the business are being used effectively from a Product viewpoint
  • Undertake fairly frequent overseas travel, often alone.


 We are looking for:


  • at least 2 years’ experience in RIM software product management with demonstrable experience and knowledge in RIM and at least 1 of Pharmacovigilance, XEVMPD, Medical Devices (in addition to Pharma), Labelling, Document Management. Working knowledge of IDMP


  • or an Experienced Regulatory Affairs professional with current knowledge and experience of the broad range of RA activities from either a pharma or medical devices perspective and with an aptitude for software product management.



The successful candidate is likely to be educated to degree level with a current understanding of all aspects of the operation of Regulatory Affairs in a small to medium sized pharma or medical devices company marketing products internationally
