Tele-Coverage Sales Support Specialist

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and self-sufficient professional to help develop and qualify sales leads that have been generated by Instem’s Marketing Department. Reporting to the VP of Global Marketing and working closely with the Instem Sales team, the successful candidate will be creating value by identifying, reaching and qualifying prospects within the Life Sciences market. As part of the global marketing team, the Tele-coverage Sales Support Specialist will be functioning in a highly visible role supporting both existing software products, outsourced services and new business growth initiatives. 

Experience in the life sciences is certainly a plus, but not essential to be successful in this role. Industry training will be provided and is a great opportunity to take your business development skills to the next level. You will enjoy being supported by a strong demand generation model that produces a rich and steady stream of inquiries every week.

The Tele-coverage Sales Support Specialist role will be focused on generating leads from both prospective and existing accounts. Leads will be developed and qualified through outreach into targeted organizations behind specific marketing campaigns, nurture programs, warm and cold-calling activities and through the servicing of inbound Web inquiries.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Development of leads across all product lines through outbound activities (phone/email)
  • Qualifying of prospects within North America & internationally to help grow pipeline
  • Setting up of appointments and demonstrations for the Sales team
  • Engaging with prospects to build rapport and maintaining ongoing communications
  • Help grow Instem’s database through key account and contact identification
  • Remain knowledgeable of industry trends, general economic conditions and the broad spectrum of Instem solutions and their applications

Listed below are the required background, experience and personal attributes that will be used to evaluate and recruit the final candidate for this position:

  • At least 2 years’ experience qualifying and generating B2B leads 
  • Software and/or IT services solutions background highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to persuade potential purchasers…. assertive, persistent and good listening skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Basic skill level in Salesforce.com or other equivalent CRM systems helpful
  • Well-rounded Windows/PC skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
